This program is offered to first time learners or learners returning to piano lessons.

Program Requirement: –
Learners should have their own piano or keyboard.
We offer 3 Programs- Please Choose the program you like:
1. Faber Piano Adventures:
-Great for students of all ages! This collection offers a great introduction into learning basic piano and theory. In addition to their Lesson, Theory, and Technique books, there are supplementary holiday, pop hits, jazz, and movie
themes available for each level! This is a wonderful series that aims to make you musical education experience as fun as possible!
-There is absolutely no age limit with the Suzuki piano books! This series focuses on teaching piano using familiar tunes such as “Twinkle, twinkle”, “Lightly Row” and “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”. This method is perfect for those students who want to get playing proficiently very quickly rather than focusing on learning note names and theory. If you learn best by copying the teachers actions and listening very carefully, this is the method for you!
-This is the series affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music. While there are no age restrictions for these books, they do require some previous knowledge of piano before we can jump into them! These books introduce students to
traditional piano repertoire of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary periods. It also offers students the chance to learn pieces from the RCM popular selections list which features a variety of fun pieces from genres
such as pop, rock, musicals, and movie themes. If you are looking to take exam at the RCM or hoping to get a High School credit for your piano studies, this is the series for you!
Meet The Program Instructor:
I have a degree in music education from the University of Toronto, as well as a minor in history. I taught students of a variety of ages, the youngest being only 4 years old! I have training and experience in teaching students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADD, and ADHD. Together we work out strategies and alternative ways of learning to help them reach their desired goals!
My teaching methods will vary based on each students’ goals and needs. In addition to teaching recreational piano playing, I also prepare students for practical, theory, harmony, and history exams at the Royal Conservatory of
Music, as well as university undergrads taking music theory and history classes.
Additionally, I prepare students for university entrance exams and AP tests. For those looking to learn popular music, I highly recommend starting out in the Faber Piano Adventures Series. For those that are more independent learners, I recommend trying the Suzuki Piano methods. Lastly, for those that may be interested in taking exams at the Royal Conservatory of Music, I recommend using the Celebration Series.
