Program Description:
Our voice program is a fun, educational, one -on-one program with a qualified voice instructor from Canada. Learn more about music and how to feel connected to your singing voice through reading music, vocal exercises and singing new songs.
Program Curriculum:
-Identify and produce key, pitch and starting notes
-Different time signatures, tempo, and beats
-How the voice works and how to keep it healthy
-Singing simple melodies aligned with key or pitch
-Singing with background music to stay on beat or tempo
-Singing High notes and low notes
-Singing dynamics – crescendo and decrescendo
-Different parts/harmonies of music and identifying the tone of your voice
-Singing two-part harmonies
-Emotions and expressive singing and performance skills
-Different styles of singing and music – contemporary genres such as pop, folk, R&B, jazz, country, etc.
-Learn and sing entire songs together using karaoke background
-Learn and sing entire songs with harmony and part singing using karaoke background
-Learn to read music, basic theory and sight/rhythm reading
-Songwriting Basics

Class Duration & Fee:
Pricing is in Canadian Dollars
Listed fee is per 30-minutes once a week. We charge per class for a month.
Other class duration options & fees:
30-Minutes: CAD $20
45-Minutes: CAD $30
1-Hour: CAD $40
Meet The Program Instructor:
Alyssa Tess:
Alyssa is a vocalist, performer, songwriter and music educator based out of Toronto, Ontario. With her sunny personality, Alyssa is passionate about sharing her joy and knowledge of music and singing with others. Alyssa graduated from Humber College with a Bachelor of Music honours degree in Voice Performance with a focus on Jazz. As a performer, Alyssa has been captivating audiences across Ontario with her sweet, angelic vocals, and heartfelt song writing for the past 10 years. She enjoys singing and writing in many different genres of music such as pop, jazz, folk, country and R&B. Alyssa strives to make voice lessons a fun experience while cultivating an environment where students feel comfortable to explore new topics and to make positive new connections with themselves and their singing voice.
