Nikole Puchkov
I have a degree in music education from the University of Toronto, as well as a minor in history. I taught students of a variety of ages, the youngest being only 4 years old! I have training and experience in teaching students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADD, and ADHD. Together we work out strategies and alternative ways of learning to help them reach their desired goals!
My teaching methods will vary based on each students’ goals and needs. In addition to teaching recreational piano playing, I also prepare students for practical, theory, harmony, and history exams at the Royal Conservatory of
Music, as well as university undergrads taking music theory and history classes.
Additionally, I prepare students for university entrance exams and AP tests. For those looking to learn popular music, I highly recommend starting out in the Faber Piano Adventures Series. For those that are more independent learners, I recommend trying the Suzuki Piano methods. Lastly, for those that may be interested in taking exams at the Royal Conservatory of Music, I recommend using the Celebration Series.
