Meet The Program Instructor:
Andrew Marques
the curriculum. I completed my Biomedical Engineering undergraduate degree at Ryerson University. My 4th year thesis project was to build a wireless Intraoperative Neural Monitor (IONM), which is a device that monitors a
patient’s neural integrity as they undergo neurosurgery.
I went on to complete a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at Ryerson University where I
specialized in laser-tissue interaction with special focus on automated detection and cautery of damaged
blood vessels. Currently, I am working as a medical engineer developing a laser catheter for the purposes of removing blockages from the major arteries of the legs, improving the quality of life of people suffering from systemic cardiovascular diseases.
I am committed to sharing my deep passion for science, math, and engineering with students through
Student Scholars to help them excel in school and develop a love for creativity and ingenuity.
Class Duration & Fee:
Listed fee is per 1-hour once a week.
