Program Description:

It is important for children to have knowledge into web design as the world is becoming more digitized, it is an additional skill to have when a child walks into the work force.

StudentScholars - C Sharp

Program Description:
Take your knowledge in C# programming to another level by learning about functions/methods and
object orienting programming. It is how programmer solve real world problems – using methods and
object orienting programming.

These java programming skills will gain you skills and experience to create your own block of code that
performs a specific task. And you will also learn how to divide complex problem into small chunks so
that you can reuse your code in other program, rather than spending extra time in writing code again.

By enrolling this course, you will learn about C# Methods, and constructors
-Static keywords in methods, variable scope
-Assessing modifiers
-Recursion in C# methods
-Creating objects containing methods with Object orienting programming
-C# classes, and different types of classes
-Encapsulation in Object orienting programming
-Polymorphism in Object orienting programming
-Abstraction in Object orienting programming
-Interface in Object orienting programming

Before enrolling into this class, please make sure that you have programming skills in
-C# variables and data type, and type casting

-Conditions (if, else if and else)

-For loop
-While loop
-Some knowledge of arrays

Even if you have knowledge of 2-3 of the above programming skills, you can catch up with a few
introductory back-to-basics class.

Program Description:
-Learners will have an individual session with a coding expert to learn the fundamentals of scratch-coding

What You Will Learn:

Lesson 1: Introduction to Scratch: Develop an understanding of scratch blocks and how coding
works in it
• Make character speak
• Play sound: using scratch sound library or recording and adding to the code
• Add and change backdrops
• Play with color: change the color effect block
• Turn the character
• Upload a character and backdrop using google search.
• Speaking and thinking
• Show and hide character
• Project/application

Lesson 2: Draw your own character and backdrop
• Making shapes and then using them to create a customized character

• Make character(s) increase in size or shrink

-If you have already done some block-based programming, take this skill to the next level by designing an
app. Make an interactive app by designing it with JavaScript with either text or blocks.
