Introduction:

StudentScholars Public Speaking Competition – April 2026 (Ages 6–12)
Step up to the mic and let your voice be heard! StudentScholars Private School in Markham is proud to host its annual Public Speaking Competition in April 2026, open to students ages 6 to 12. This inspiring event is designed to build confidence, improve communication skills, and empower students to express their ideas with clarity and passion.

Participants will have the opportunity to speak on age-appropriate topics, engage with an audience, and receive valuable feedback from a panel of judges.

Competition Highlights:

• Open to students ages 6–12

• Focus on speech delivery, clarity, and creativity

• Awards for Best Speaker, Confidence, and Originality

• A supportive platform to develop public speaking and leadership skills

Join us for a memorable day of speeches, inspiration, and student voices taking the spotlight!

Age Groups & Focus Areas:

• Group 1 (4–6): Show & tell, short memory recitals (30s–1 min)

• Group 2 (7–9): Simple speeches (1–2 mins), storytelling, poems

• Group 3 (10–12): Structured speeches (2–5 mins), opinions, debates, persuasive talks

This event helps students develop confidence in expressing their ideas, strengthen their communication skills, and enhance stage presence in a supportive and inspiring setting. Age-appropriate topics and guided preparation ensure steady growth, allowing every participant to shine.

Date: Saturday, April 4th, 2026
Location: StudentScholars Private School Units 2 & 3, 60 Riviera Drive, Markham ON L3R 5M1
Eligible Ages: 4 to 12

Each age group will participate during its scheduled time slot, followed by an award ceremony immediately after.

Registration Deadline:
Wednesday, April 1st, 2025, at 5:00 PM. No registrations will be accepted after this deadline.

1st Place:

• Gold Medal

• Certificate

• Gift voucher for 4 free classes from StudentScholars
  (Transferable to any child aged 4 to 13)

2nd Place:

• Silver Medal

• Gift voucher for 4 free classes from StudentScholars
  (Transferable to any child aged 4 to 13)

3rd Place:

• Bronze Medal

• Gift voucher for 4 free classes from StudentScholars
  (Transferable to any child aged 4 to 13)
